Luxoft is seeking Manual Testing Engineer

We are looking for a confident, creative and curious team player to join as a Manual Test Engineer in Bangalore, as part of the team working with one of the largest retail Companies in the UK. They will support multiple projects for our Client in Agile environment.

Candidate should have a Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience in manual software testing. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies. Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Should have experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Familiarity with Agile/ Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Preparation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
Identify and prioritize test cases based on risk analysis and business impact.

Manual Testing Execution:
Execute test cases manually to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues.
Perform regression testing to ensure the stability of existing functionality after code changes.
Document test results, track defects, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Defect Management:
Report defects accurately using designated defect tracking tools.
Work closely with development teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Verify fixes and ensure proper closure of defects in a timely manner.

Quality Assurance:
Maintain a high level of quality standards throughout the testing process.
Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies.
Participate in peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall product quality.

Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Actively participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
